The Passion of the Hobby is a double edged sword
So I had echoes of my husband saying " I don't want to just sit around and watch Netflix" in my head as I was browsing reddit and randomly saw through some of their ad targeting something about a Wolverine trading card set coming out in the summer of 2024. I was instantly reminded of my childhood. I grew up with a very small comic and card shop (cause they were combined back then?) in my hometown and I suppose it had sports cards too but my brain selectively deleted those from memory since I wasn't keen on them in the height of the junk wax era. I was in middle school and my local shop would give me $6 store credit for every 'A' I got on my report card. Needless to say, every semester walking in there with $36 of store credit guaranteed and my mom willing to match, I felt like a 12 year old baller.
